Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about ZZinLink

How does ZZinLink work?

ZZinLink uses global security threat databases to check link safety. We're integrated with multiple trusted security databases to detect various threats such as phishing, malware, and social engineering. Results are clearly shown in 3 levels: Safe, Caution, or Danger.

Does 'Safe' mean 100% safe?

No. A 'Safe' verdict means the link is not in currently known threat lists. Brand new phishing sites may not be detected until they're registered in the database. Therefore, always exercise caution when entering personal information or making financial transactions, even if the result shows 'Safe'.

How is my URL data handled?

ZZinLink prioritizes privacy protection. We never store the original URLs you scan. Only irreversible SHA-256 hash values are used for caching to provide faster results. The original URL is immediately discarded after scanning is complete.

What types of threats are detected?

ZZinLink detects various threats including phishing (fake login pages), malware distribution sites, social engineering attacks, and unwanted software installation sites. We're especially effective at detecting phishing sites impersonating banks, government agencies, and major shopping sites.

Can I scan shortened URLs?

Yes, absolutely. When you enter shortened URLs, we automatically trace them to the final destination and scan it. You can verify whether the actual address hidden behind a shortened URL is safe.

Is it free? Are there usage limits?

ZZinLink is completely free. No registration required. However, to ensure service stability, there are limits on scans per minute. This won't affect normal usage, but automated bulk requests may be restricted.

Can I use it on mobile?

Yes, ZZinLink is optimized for mobile environments. You can use it conveniently on smartphones and tablets. Just access it directly from your web browser - no app installation needed.

Can scan results be wrong?

Rarely, but it's possible. 'Caution' results may sometimes be false positives. Conversely, very new phishing sites may show as 'Safe' if they haven't been registered in the database yet. Use scan results as a reference and always make final judgments carefully.
